Final deadline to get your name on the bib is only a few days away! Register before 15th May 23:59
On Saturday at 10:00 AM, TAR Family Run will take place; a 600 meter street race open to everyone, with free registration.
Pick up your race number at the Bib pick-up between 08:00 AM and 9:45 AM!
• The Peoples’ Run is free for everyone to participate in.
• Participants must collect their own bib number at the Expo, free of charge
• There is no timekeeping.
The race is 600 meters long:
• Starts from the The Arctic Run start line, heading directly toward Markedsgata.
• Through Markedsgata, turn left down Ranværingsgata, then left into Havnegata where the finish line is located.
• Participants must therefore start in the opposite direction from the marathon/half/10K start.
• All participants receive a medal and juice at the finish line.
Look forward to sharing your sporting highlight with everyone! To make The Arctic Run unforgettable for you, Photographers from GetPica will be on site to take pictures of you during the whole race, available to purchase.
Links will be published after the race.
Food & Drink stations are located at:
5km 10km, 16km, 22km, 28km, 33km, 37km, 40km
Products supplied at the stations:
Beverages
🔋 Fuel of Norway Energy Drinks
💧 Juice and water
Food
🍌 Bananas
🥜 Nuts and raisins
🍫 Chocolate
🍪 Cookies
🍇 Dried fruits
⭐️ + more!
Special considerations:
Runners are asked to keep to the right to avoid conflicts with runners going in the opposite direction for the half marathon and 10km.
Trash bins are placed right after the food and drink stations. The Arctic Run course goes through stunning nature, which we must protect even during large sports events.
We encourage all runners to do their best to dispose of their trash in the bins, and we will disqualify anyone caught littering outside the zones between the food and drink stations and the trash bins.
There are toilets in the start and finish areas, located by the baggage drop and right after the finish line. Along the course, there are toilets at the food and drink stations at kilometers 5, 10, 22, and 33.
Camp TAR provides drop-in shower areas, with shower passes available for purchase on site.
Bib pick up is a Hurtigrutemuseet the following hours:
• Friday from 15:00 to 20:00
• Saturday from 08:00 to 14:00
Arrive early to avoid queues, and remember that the final deadline is one hour before the start!
When picking up your bib, you will receive your luggage bag.
This can be dropped off at the designated baggage drop indicated on the arena map, and it will be taken care of until you finish the race.
The bag drop closes after the last participant has crossed the finish line.
Main parking is located at 📍 Hadsel Handelspark on Børøya, 1100 meters from the start and finish area.
Parking on the Hadsel Island is available at 📍 Hadsel Hallpark (by Camp TAR), but will be unaccessible after the closure of roads at 1:00PM.
The Arctic Run takes place on fully or partially closed roads.
Closed and Regulated Roads:
County Road 7634 (Stokmarknes – Melbu):
• The road will be completely closed to regular traffic in three separate intervals.
• The first closure will begin from Stokmarknes at 10:30 AM.
• The road will be closed in three rounds.
• See the interactive map below to see which sections of the road will be closed and when.
County Road 82 (Melbu – Stokmarknes):
• Convoy driving in both directions from 12:30 PM to 4:30 PM.
It is particularly important for marathon runners to stay on the left on the Melbu-Stokmarknes section, as there will be traffic on the other half of the road.
Runners still on the course when the roads reopen will not be removed from the race, but are asked to follow regular traffic rules and exercise extra caution.

(Though we do recommend having someone to share the view with for the fun of it)
Entry to The Arctic Run is binding and there will be no refund of entry fees or any other options that were paid for during the registration process. No exceptions will be made.
You have the option to transfer your registration, this can be done only via our official registration platform. It is your responsibility to find a buyer.

Registration for para athletes is open in our registration portal.
We look forward to announcing further details at a later date.
A NFIF license is mandatory for attending The Arctic Run, which can be obtained in the registration portal, as a one-time license limited to the event you’re participating in. Those with a paid license are insured during the event. Children under 13 are covered by a collective sports insurance and do not need a license. An annual license also provides insurance for training.
